Flute Etude 3 - Allegro in F Major. This piece can be found in “Der Fortschritt im Flötenspiel, Heft 1” (Progress in Flute Playing), Op. 33, Book 1, authored by the flutist Ernesto Köhler. Additionally, it is also included in Robert Cavally’s compilation, “Melodious and Progressive Studies for Flute, Book 1.”
Useful Italian terms in Köhler’s Op. 33 Flute Etude 3:
allargando - slow down
dim. (diminuendo) - get softer
a tempo - return to the original tempo
Più vivo - faster, more lively

Depending on which edition you are playing from, there can be large discrepancies in the music ranging from dynamics to added notes. If you are playing Kohler’s Op. 33 Etude 3 for a lesson, make sure that you are working from a similar edition to that of your flute teacher.
